The Net Return
Password & sign-in help
Before you ask for a reset
Most sign-in problems are not the password:
- The 6-digit code is rejected — almost always your phone's clock. Set date and time to “automatic” in your phone settings, then try again.
- “Session expired” — the page sat open too long, or the dashboard was updated. Reload and sign in again; your details are still valid.
- “Account temporarily locked” — five wrong attempts. Wait 15 minutes.
If you genuinely need a reset
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, so nobody — including the administrator — can look yours up. A reset means a brand new password and a new 2FA code being issued to you.
Contact paul@thenetreturn.com. You will get a replacement sheet with a new password and a new QR code to scan.
Reset requests are handled by a person on purpose. Emailing a reset link would put a way into the dashboard inside your mailbox, which is exactly what the 6-digit code is there to prevent.
